Youngstown : Ohio

Youngstown is the county seat of Mahoning County and covers a total area of 88.7 km² (34.2 mi²) of which 87.8 km² (33.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The community was named after a local mill owner, John Young.

 Youngstown is on the Mahoning River, lying 65 miles southeast of Cleveland and approximately 62 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The city covers a total area of of 88.7 km² (34.2 mi²) of which 87.8 km² (33.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. Youngstown is on the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau.

The climate is variable in Youngstown with warm and humid summers and cold and snowy winters. Spring and fall are mild. The average precipitation is 3 inches per month. Summer temperatures average around 68F/20C.
