Lorain : State Ohio

A city in Lorain County, Lorain i was named after French province. Located on Lake Erie, at the mouth of the Black River, the city is known as “Port City”.

It stands between the city of Cleveland and the Lake Erie Islands

Lorain covers a total area of 62.8 km² (24.2 mi²) of which 62.2 km² (24.0 mi²) is land and 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it (0.95%) is water.

Population: 67,820 as on 2005
